Rule :  The fewer the needles in a round  configuration, the cooler the color will

 heal since fewer needles travel deeper. This dept cools off the colors.

This is a single needle

Finer than a rotary needle this creates very fine strokes

Movement: Can be used in a drawing motion or pointillism. For brows is always hair strokes.

 

    #3 Liner – 

       (Open)

 

This is an open round configuration

This needle can draw the outline for eyeliner, create a dense fill-in   for eyeliner, a dense brow

color. Be careful when using for lips since it travels deeper and can create cooler or

bluish tones.

This needle can also be used for subtleties in breast   work and flecking in camouflage

or thin scars.

Movement: Can be used in a drawing or circular motion. The motion for brows is always hair strokes.

   #3 Outliner –

       (Tight)

 

This is a more closed/tighter round configuration

Best Drawing Tool! Best for drawing the outline of an eyeliner on  tougher lids to create a

template, beautiful hair stroke, sketching   outline for a brow. Warning for lips: The needle may

be too fine for an   entire lip but can be used at the end of a lip procedure in a drawing motion   to

create a pristine, finished look. Do not use on vermillon, since it can   travel even deeper than the

open 3 and can create scarring or bluish areas.

Movement: Can be used in a   drawing movement or a circular motion (except fot lips). Brows will

always be   hairs strokes.

 

 

    #3 Micro –          

    (Tightest)

 

These are finer needles, closed tightly in a round configuration

Creates magnificently fine hair strokes, too fine for eyeliners, warning for lips too fine for lips other

 than outlining at the end of a lip   procedure to create a pristine finish.

Movement: Hair strokes,  drawing.

     #4 Flat

 

A flat configuration, meaning that the needles are   along side each other like a little paintbrush

 

 

This needle is primarily a shading tool but when held   sideways produces a fabulous hair stroke.

 A great needle for fast lash   enhancements and bottom eyeliners but will create more swelling.

 Also, used  in camouflage and areola as a shader.

Movement: Movement is   circular when shading and slow (count of 5 to 6) when drawing hair strokes,  

 can be used for pointillism & shading.    Warning for lips: Do not line lips with this needle. Only use for  filling in.

 

 

                               

   #5 Shader

 An open  round needle

 

Creates a softer brow than a 3, more like an airbrushed look, great for lipliner, will

create a softer eyeliner than a 3 needle, extremely versatile.

Movement: Can be used in a drawing movement or a circular   motion. Brows will

always be hair strokes.

  #5 Magnum

 

Consist of 3 rows of flat   needles, 3 on the bottom & 2 on the top. Also called an under & over   needle.

Can be used for eyeliner, both top & bottom,  shaded or smudged edges on eyeliners,

 lip interior color (full lip or shaded  effect) areola, camouflage, all types of scar work.

 Creates an even shaded   tone and is a magnificent shading tool. Easier to steer than

a 9-Magnum.

Movement: Can be circular, drawing, pointillism, or fanning   out. Warning for lips:

Do not line lips with this needle. Only use for filling in.

   #7 Shader

 

This is an open round   configuration

Very soft eyeliner or for filling in a wide eyeliner that has been outlined,

creates a soft smudgy effect as a double eyeliner on both top  and bottom  lids,

Very soft Brows, soft lipline, can be used for areola and camouflage, but generally

 flat or magnum configurations are preferred. Again, the more   needles the more blunt,

 so this needle is great when you want a soft   airbrushed appearance.

Movement: Can be used in a drawing movement or a circular   motion. Brows will

always be hairstrokes.

  #9 Magnum

 

Consist of 2 rows of flat   needles, 5 on the bottom & 4 on the top. Also, called an under/over   needle.

Can be used for eyeliner; both top & bottom, haded or smudged edges on eyeliners

 or areola, lip interior color (full lip or shaded effect), areola complex, camouflage, all

 types of scar work. Creates an even shaded tone and is a magnificent shading tone and

is a magnificent shading tool.

Movement: Can be circular, drawing, pointillism, or fanning out.   Warning for lips:

Do not line lips with this needle. Only use for filling in.

Medical manufacturers and   standard tattoo needles are thicker needles than the Nouveau Contour

Needles.  

These finer needles are incredibly effective for the face, since due to   exposure, tends to be more rubbery

and having more collagen, has more bounce.   Finer needles allow us to be more creative with less trauma.
